Jean is the Founder and Managing Member of Clarion Consulting Associates, LLC, a valuation, forensic and litigation services consulting firm dedicated to matrimonial and commercial disputes. Prior to founding Clarion Consulting Associates, Jean was a partner in Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP’s Matrimonial Forensics Litigation & Valuation Services group located in New York City. Her career in public accounting spans nearly twenty-five years focused on business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, audit, and tax.

Jean’s areas of expertise include matrimonial litigation involving high net worth individuals, shareholder and partner disputes, and commercial litigation. She provides expert witness testimony and assists counsel at financial depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations. She has been selected to serve as a Mediator on the New York County Supreme Court’s Roster of Matrimonial Mediators and she is frequently appointed as a neutral business valuation and forensic accounting expert by the courts in New York. 

 

Jean has lectured on valuation, tax, and forensic accounting topics to judges, attorneys, law students, finance and accounting professionals, and has been recognized as a "Notable Woman in Accounting & Consulting" by Crain’s New York Business. 

 

Jean is a past chair of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Business Valuation Litigation Support Committee as well as past treasurer and former board member of the New York Women’s Bar Association. Jean holds a B.S. in accounting from NYU Stern School of Business and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Stacy Statkus, CVA, CFE, CDFA, MBA, J.D. is a consultant to Clarion Consulting Associates, LLC as well as the founder and Managing Member of Banyan Consulting Associates, LLC.  Stacy was formerly a Director in Marcum's Advisory and Consulting Services group.  Prior to that, she was a Senior Vice President at MPI and Director of Matrimonial Forensics Litigation & Valuation Services team at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP.  She has more than twenty years of experience in litigation consulting, forensic accounting, and business valuation.

Stacy’s areas of expertise include matrimonial litigation involving high net worth individuals, shareholder disputes and commercial litigation.  Stacy has participated in many settlement negotiations, as well as in numerous mediation and collaborative divorce matters.  She has also testified in New York Supreme Court. 

 

Stacy has lectured on forensic accounting, valuation, and tax topics to various groups of attorneys including, but not limited to the New York Women’s Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Staten Island Collaborative Law Group, and has been asked to speak at the New York Judicial Institute.

Stacy is also an active real estate investor and investor in real estate notes.
